SCE279. Occupational Safety and Health for Healthcare Personnel
Background︰
Healthcare personnel (HCP) are at the forefront of providing medical care, making their occupational safety and health a critical concern. The nature of their work exposes them to a wide range of hazards, including biological, chemical, physical, ergonomic, and psychosocial risks. Ensuring their safety is essential not only for their well-being but also for maintaining a functional healthcare system.
Aims and Objectives︰
To introduce the key concepts of occupational safety & health to the learners:
• Safety & Health Legislation in Hong Kong
• Identification & Control of Workplace Hazards in Healthcare Setting
• Handling of Workplace Violence & Aggression – De-Escalation Techniques / Breakaway Techniques
• Safety Management System
• Accident Investigation & Injury Trend Analysis

Upon completion of the course and assessment, the institution will issue an electronic certificate.
