SCE280. Basic ECG & Life Threatening ECG Management for Nurses
Background︰
Mastery of ECG knowledge is vital for nurses to ensure patient safety, early detection of cardiac issues, and effective collaboration in healthcare.
Aims and Objectives︰
The aim of this course is to equip nurses with the basic concept of ECG and life threatening ECG management.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the basic principles of ECG interpretation, including the heart’s electrical conduction system.
- Identify normal ECG waveforms, intervals, and segments.
- Recognize common and life-threatening arrhythmias.
- Initiate appropriate nursing interventions for critical arrhythmias.
