SPSS Outstanding Performance Scholarship (OPS)
- Guidelines to Applicants 2023/24
Objectives
To award students with outstanding achievements in academic and/or non-academic performance
Eligibility
Students who are currently studying at all levels/years at the College with outstanding academic results and/or outstanding non-academic achievements such as awards/recognitions in international/territory-wide competitions/events
Criteria for Assessment
The capabilities as listed as follows:
- high standard of academic performance
- demonstration of leadership and good communication skills; and/or
- valuable contribution to the College/community; and/or
- strong commitment to the Hong Kong community
For first year students:
- the outstanding academic results during secondary/post-secondary education, including public examinations, or
- with outstanding non-academic achievements such as awards/recognitions in international/territory-wide competition/events.
For students at second year or above:
- achieve at least a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of at least 3.0 out of 4.0, and
- in the top 10% ranking of academic results of the programmes; and/or
- with outstanding non-academic achievements such as awards/recognitions in international/territory-wide competition/events (eg: Olympic Games).

Scholarship Amount
Bachelor and top-up degree students: HK$40,000
Higher diploma students: HK$30,000
